Administrator of the Year Award

This award is offered every year for one hospital administrator during October which is National Medical Librarian’s Month. The award is given in recognition of exemplary support of a Colorado health science library and its staff during the last year. Administrator Advocacy Award Form

2006 Awardee:

On Tuesday October 31, 2006 the Colorado Council of Medical Librarians presented the Administrator of the Year Award to Tracey Lynn Samdahl, Senior Director Shaw Regional Cancer Center, Vail Valley Medical Center. Tracey was nominated by Kimberly Lyons-Mitchell, Medical Librarian, Vail Valley Medical Center Educational Resource Library. The award was presented by Amanda Enyeart, CCML President, Kimberly Lyons-Mitchell and Stephanie Weldon, CCML Advocacy Chair.

2005
: On Tuesday, October 18, 2005, the Colorado Council of Medical Librarians presented an Administrator of the Year award to Mitchell Carson, CHE, President and CEO of Longmont United Hospital. He was awarded for "For Recognition of Medical Librarians and Libraries as Essential Components in Quality Health Care and Patient Safety." He was nominated by Teri Manzanares, Librarian at the Consumer Health Resource Library, Longmont United Hospital. The award was presented by Teri and Joyce Condon, CCML President, at a salsa party held at the library. Below are items relating to the award and Teri's great work at the library.
