Participation at CCML

Colorado Council of Medical Librarians
Membership Information

History

In 1957, fourteen metropolitan Denver librarians sought to provide a forum for cooperation among medical libraries. Initial efforts included preparation of a union list of serials.

The membership increased during the 1960's, representing a broader geographical base, and has grown to over 100 members throughout Colorado and Wyoming.

Goals

  1. To optimize cooperation among CCML members.
  2. To strengthen affiliations between CCML and related groups.
  3. To respond to the educational and professional needs of CCML members.
  4. To enhance CCML's organizational structure and to support its future growth.

Meetings

Meetings are held on a voluntary rotating basis in the various members' institutions. Meetings include Council business and an educational program on a library or health care topic.

Past programs have covered medical information systems, consumer health, medical emergencies, and trends in health care marketing.
