Tri-fold brochure - Communication, Collaboration, Cooperation
History
In 1957, fourteen metropolitan Denver librarians sought to provide a forum for cooperation among medical libraries. Initial efforts included preparation of a union list of serials. The membership increased during the 1960's, representing a broader geographical base, and has grown with members throughout Colorado and Wyoming. Library Science students have obtained Internships, Practicums, and paid positions through their membership connections.
Goals
Meetings
Meetings are held on a voluntary rotating basis in the various members' institutions. Meetings include Council business and an educational program on a library or health care topic.
Past programs have covered medical information systems, consumer health, medical emergencies, and trends in health care marketing.
