The Internet and Social Media Committee maintains and updates pages on the CCML website. The committee works closely with other committee chairs to post new information and to update what is pertinent to the website. The committee provides advice to CCML members regarding Internet and website related issues. The CCML List Administrator serves as an Internet committee member.

Social Media - Facebook

The Colorado Council of Medical Librarians (CCML) Facebook Group is a social media tool designed and implemented to increase communication and networking between CCML members, as well as to increase marketing and awareness of CCML’s existence for medical librarians and library students who are not currently members. The CCML Facebook Group’s goals are as follows:

● Communicate clearly and effectively with CCML members by using a social media tool they check often.

● Foster increased feedback and discussion between the CCML committees, officers, and members.

● Market to and inform new students and librarians who could benefit from CCML membership about CCML’s existence and benefits.

● Connect Facebook Group members to resources that can educate and spark discussion about health librarianship issues, challenges, etc.

● Foster an environment of civility and respect for all group members and all viewpoints.
