Each year the nominating committee prepares and introduces a slate of candidates for officers for the next term. The committee announces the slate of candidates to CCML members prior to the final meeting of the calendar year, at which time voting takes place.

The nominating committee chairperson is appointed by the President-Elect, before the end of the association year, to serve for the following association year. Committee members are appointed by the committee chairperson. Members of the nominating committee serve for two years, with a minimum of one new member appointed annually.
